
New assistant organist at St Michael's
She completed her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) in church music and organ, concert subject with Martin Haselböck, with honours. She is currently continuing her musical training in solo singing with Martina Steffl-Holzbauer and is perfecting her organ playing with Balázs Szabó.
The versatile artist regularly performs in various roles: as a concert organist, soprano, vocal ensemble singer, répétiteur, choir director and on various keyboard instruments such as piano, harpsichord, harmonium and celesta.
Both as an organist and as a singer, she interprets works from different eras - from medieval music to modern music. Her concert activities have taken her to the Bulgarian National Philharmonic Orchestra (Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms), the Brucknerhaus Linz (Luciano Berio's Rendering, celesta part with the Vienna Academy under the direction of Martin Haselböck) and the Austrian Parliament (with Momentum Vocal Music).
As a soprano soloist, she has performed in important works such as Johann Sebastian Bach's Magnificat, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem and Vesperae solennes de confessore as well as Camille Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël.
Zuzanna Mika is the winner of the mdw great talent award powered by Christian Zeller as well as the mdw appreciation award.
She has been organist at the historic Sieber organ (1714) in Vienna's St Michael's Church since 2025.
